Rockstaris giving L.A. Noire audiophiles two ways to enjoy the game's 1940s musical stylings. The publisher has announced it will be releasing a pair of downloadable soundtracks featuring L.A. Noire'sorchestral score, as well as a remixed selection of classic period songscomposed by modern day DJs andproducers.
Labeled 'L.A. Noire Official Soundtrack' and 'L.A. Noire: Remixed,' both albums will be available on iTunes, and offer varying takes on the game's jazzy themes.
The Official Soundtrack (recorded in London's famousAbbey Road Studios,no less) includes L.A. Noire's original score as composed by Andrew Hale, whose resume includes jamming with the bands Sade and Sweetback, and laying tracks for the film adaptation of Scott Pilgrim vs The World. The album will also showcase music from Red Dead Redemption composer Woody Jackson, and over 30select songs from jazz legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie.
Changing eras, Rockstar has partnered with Verve Records for L.A. Noire: Remixed; a collection of six remixed Jazz classics from notable artists including Dave Steik, DJ Premier and Truth %26amp; Soul.
Both albums are set to arrive along with the game on May 17th.
