Grand Theft Auto IV is totally region locked on Xbox 360.
That means owners of a North American Xbox 360 won't be able to stroll into the shops and buy a PAL copy (and vice-versa) - because it won't work.
The PS3 version, like all games, apparently works fine in all countries - though we're waiting for confirmation on that.
Although it's left up to developers whether or not it region locks its games on 360, the vast majority of titles are left open to the world.
Even Rockstar's Table Tennis lacks Region barriers, but seemingly the company has had a change of heart with GTA IV (let's face it, if some US shop started selling it early - we'd all be importing if it was region free).
