David Jaffe, the director of the God of War games, has revealed that work on the sequel is progressing so well that he is confident that the series could stretch to a third game.
Writing on hisblog, he revealed his first impressions after playing the latest version of God of War II: "I can tell you that [God of War II ] is shaping up very, very nicely, I played a bunch of levels last week and it's really, really fun."
He then explained that the quality of the sequel would affect whether a third game would be made, stating that "when you are making a game, you never really know if the game will turn out good enough to merit another one in the series."
But as work on God of War II is going so well, he declared that he was "very confident of our chances to be able to complete the God of War trilogy." It'll certainly be interesting to see if a potential third installment will abandon the PS2 in favor of PlayStation 3.
