God of War II week, day 1: ancient history
Need to catch up? We reveal the first game's ending and secrets so you don't have to
God of War fans know by now that Kratos was raised in Sparta, a militaristic hell of the ancient world where children were raised to be soldiers and sickly kids were literally thrown to the wolves. What you might not know is that the seething bald sociopath wasn't an only child. Kratos' weaker sibling suffered a horrible fate, but what came after that is far more sinister.
Interestingly, the game sets this scene up as a hint at a sequel, but it never comes up in God of War II. Maybe it'll be revisited in God of War III?
