Arc Raiders answers the community's prayers: new Epic looting Augment lets you put weapons in your safe pocket, and even use heavy shields to boot

The Arc Raiders Headwinds update is now fully out, bringing piles of birds, a fresh mode, and a couple of delightful new Epic augments. The pair of augments are reverberating through the playerbase, as one of them introduces some much-desired strategic help.

The two pieces of kit are: Tactical Mk. 3 (Revival) and Looting Mk. 3 (Safekeeper). As the former gives you back 1 HP every five seconds, you'd think it'd be the more popular of the two, since persistent health buffs are always valuable, but the latter is the real gem here.

"This is great for bringing yellow-tier weapons for Queens and Matriarchs," adds another. "A way to stash your Hullcracker from rats. Heavy shield to help with Matriarch fights. It's a nice PvE augment," another states.

Previously, the Survivor augment was the most popular, as it has lots of slots and regen capabilities when you’re downed. The Safekeeper is going to be mixing things up, at least among the more experienced players who're now looking for ways to tighten up, potentially on their second Raider after being given the option of a reset during Cold Snap.

Just three months in, and Embark Studios is demonstrating a true willingness to dig into what the community wants and continue dialing up the possibilities. Headwinds even got rid of the guitar puzzle on Buried City, making it clear nothing is off the table in terms of changes. Whatever else these augments bring to the table, Matriarchs should be quivering, that's for sure.

Arc Raiders players have found a real-life Stella Montis in Italy, and they're leaving hilarious reviews: "The Shredders are a bit of a nuisance"
