The House of Healing in Crimson Desert is part of the Familiar Curses quest, where you sneak into the huge compound of St. Halssius and see what you can find. However, the task to investigate the House of Healing isn't easy, as players are not supposed to be in there, and will either need to disguise themselves or sneak around out of sight until they find what they're looking for. It's a change in mechanics for Crimson Desert that may leave many players a bit confused now that they're working on infiltration, but don't worry: I'll explain how it works below and what you need to know about investigating the House of Healing.
How to investigate the House of Healing in Crimson Desert
The goal in the House of Healing is to look for Greymane who's supposedly there, but it's not clear where you're supposed to be looking. Not only that, but the guard will throw out anybody who looks as though they're not supposed to be there! It means that players have two major options in this chapter of Crimson Desert:
- Sneak and stealth. By avoiding guards and sticking to rooftops, you can get past the guards fairly easily, especially if you know where you're heading.
- Buy a disguise. A guard outside the building, near the notice board, will sell you the Halssius outfit for 10 Silver. This will make it easier to navigate the House of Healing.
Of these two methods, I recommend just sneaking about and using the rooftops. Guards will only eject you if they can physically catch you, which isn't a big deal, and you can potentially fight them off even if they do see you. Plus, there's no penalty to being spotted other than having to start the sequence again, so rather like the Crimson Desert Karin Quarry endeavour, it's valid to go through trial and error.
Greymane's location in the House of Hope
The Greymane you're looking for is in South side of the biggest building of the compound, on the upper level, as marked on the image above. What you're looking for is a huge structure on the Northeast side, with a square courtyard garden in the middle, then from there look at the Southern wall. There's the ground floor windows, and then a floor above them. You want to reach the upper floor, where even before you enter you should be able to hear the sounds of a skirmish.
Once there, it'll trigger a cutscene where you find the Greymane you're looking for. From this point on, there's no need for stealth anymore: this is a more aggressive, combat orientated escape attempt where you simply accompany the Greymane on your way out.
Should you buy the Halssius outfit in Crimson Desert?
No, I don't recommend buying the Halssius outfit as a disguise if you don't have to. 10 Silver is a lot of money at this point in the game, especially if you're not using the Crimson Desert money farm, and ultimately the outfit isn't particularly helpful, especially once the mission is over. Disguises don't stop you from being spotted, they only increase the amount of time it takes for a guard to realise who you are, which isn't a massive advantage. Better to save the money, and just go in like a cat burglar.
