Galactica's fourth season gets extended

Battlestar Galactica's third season draws to a close this Sunday in the US, but already there's news of the show's future that's getting fans excited. The show's fourth season, which had previously been announced as having a short 13-episode season order, has been extended to the more standard 22 episodes. And what's more, this season order will include a two-hour Battlestar "event" that's expected to be the mooted Battlestar Pegasus movie, which takes place shortly after the start of Cylon War II.

The movie will air on Sci Fi in the last quarter of 2007 and will also be released on DVD. The fourth season will then follow in early 2008.
