A full trailer for Ender’s Game has landed online, showcasing the film’s alien threat, space-set battles and gruff father figures.
Hugo ’s Asa Butterfield stars as Ender, one of a bunch of youngsters drafted into the fight against an alien race known as Buggers (or sometimes, less snortworthily, as Formics).
Harrison Ford’s Colonel Hyrum Graff lays down the urgency of the situation iN a gruff voiceover, and it looks like he won’t be holding back on the military aggression, despite the youthfulness of his star hope.
Ben Kingsley (with a tattooed face and Aussie accent) and Viola Davis add heavyweight support to a young cast that also includes Abigail Breslin and Hailee Steinfeld.

Based on the novel by Orson Scott Card, Ender’s Game opens in the UK on 25 October 2013.
