The epic final trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness has landed, and it’s brimming with action and ominous overtones.
Setting the scene for the clash between Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and new nemesis John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch), the trailer shows quite how high the stakes are.
With former Starfleet officer Harrison committing ever more audacious acts of terrorism, Kirk makes it his personal mission to track him down, and bring him to justice. Trouble is, Kirk’s recklessness has seen him stripped of his captaincy.

That shot of Harrison’s ships surrounding the Enterprise is a doozy, isn’t it? If nothing else, STID should be one of the year’s most spectacular blockbusters. As Simon Pegg put it on Twitter , “If this doesn’t convince you, nothing will.”
