Diablo 3 hero profiles are now live on Battle.net

Blizzard announced today that they have launched the Diablo 3 "hero profiles" feature that they have been teasing since launch . Though far from revolutionary, the feature allows players to take a good long look at their characters on Battle.net, as well as scope out the characters of their friends.

Anybody who plays or has played World of Warcraft for an extended time will be fairly familiar with how this works as it seems very similar to the character profiles in WoW (if perhaps a bit streamlined.) Hero profiles are designed to give you a great bird's eye look at your character so you can fine tune them to your liking. Which you could probably do in-game, but we get the feeling this feature was designed to allow people to continue obsessing over Diablo 3 while at work and/or school.

They have also said that more functionality will be added at a later date as well, including tabs for more detailed stats, achievements, and crafting.
