Destiny players have until August 1 to earn these special emblems for Destiny 2

Guardians, are you wondering what to do with your time now that you know Destiny 2 is coming? Well, how about working on acquiring some emblems that will carry over to Bungie's sequel, thus enabling you to show everyone how awesome you are and proving your status as a veteran player?

All told, seven emblems will carry over from Destiny to Destiny 2. They'll also be more prominently featured, stretching clear across your character screen and showing up in orbit while forming a Fireteam as well. Four of these are inaccessible if you don't already have them, but you can still earn three so long as you complete the requirements by August 1. You can see the full list below:

Laurel Triumphant

You completed a Moment of Triumph during Destiny’s first year.

Laurea Prima II

You completed all 10 Moments of Triumph during Destiny’s first year.

Slayer of Oryx

You owned The Taken King and completed a Moment of Triumph during Destiny’s second year.

Heard the Call

You owned The Taken King and completed all 8 Moments of Triumph during Destiny’s second year.

Young Wolf

You owned Rise of Iron and reached Rank 2 in the Age of Triumph record book.

Saladin's Pride

You owned Rise of Iron and reached Rank 7 in the Age of Triumph record book.

Lore Scholar

You achieved a Grimoire score of over 5,000 in Destiny 1.

If you're the PVP type, you might also want to mark August 1 on your calendar for a different reason: the final Destiny 1-era Iron Banner. Ten days later will be the final Destiny 1-era Trials of Osiris. This will be the last time the events are held in OG Destiny before they're put on hiatus and reappear at an unannounced time in Destiny 2.

Speaking of dates, did you notice Destiny 2 had its release date brought forward? It's now launching on September 6 - but you can always get a taste for the game even earlier thanks to a Destiny 2 beta starting July 21.
