Dead or Alive 5 trailer calls the world's greatest fighters to action

The latest trailer for Dead or Alive 5 has just been posted over at GameSpot, and it seems like it may be a veiled call-to-action to the fighting game community to adopt DoA 5 as a new event. One of the trailer's narrators shouts, "Are you one of the greatest fighters in the world? Then get your ass to the tournament!"

Sure it could be a coincidence, but we've got a hunch that Tecmo Koei wants to see Dead or Alive 5 adopted as a major title at events like EVO which has done incredible things for the popularity of Super Street Fighter IV and King of Fighters 13. As eSports becomes more and more popular, it is quickly becoming a huge factor in the success of any game in the fighting genre.
