The Cave out next week on PC and consoles

Double Fine's (non-Kickstarted) adventure game costs $15

Get your spelunking gear ready: Double Fine's The Cave will release next week on Steam and consoles. The latest adventure game from the adventuresome studio will hit PlayStation Network and Wii U on January 22 and Xbox Live Arcade and Steam on January 23, creator Ron Gilbert tweeted earlier today.

The PC version of the game will also be available on Mac OS X and Linux, Gilbert revealed, and will cost $15 regardless of the platform.

The Cave sends a group of three unique protagonists into the oddly expansive underground, where they puzzle their way through environments unique to their individual stories. Check out our most recent preview to learn more about its unique approach to genre staples and signature Double Fine humor.
