The Dark Knight Rises is now less than two weeks away, and just to set our pulses racing with even more feverish anticipation, Warner Bros (and Hero Complex ) have released a bunch of new images (hat tip to The Playlist ).
And only one image (the camo-tumbler letting rip in the 'Occupy Gotham' scenes) feels very familiar, with the remainder offering fresh insight (crazy that there's still fresh insight to be had this late in the game - then again, the film does clock in at 164 minutes, so hopefully there's a lot we haven't seen).
Most welcome among the images are the shots of director Christopher Nolan on set. Our favourite? It's nice to see him getting hands-on, chalking a bat-symbol on the wall. It's all about the attention to detail. And Inception fans'll get a buzz out of seeing him in that Escher-esque underground set-up.
And on top of that, there's Anne Hathaway's Catwoman, Morgan Freeman's Lucius Fox, Marion Cotillard's Miranda Tate, and, as a rare pair of honest Gotham cops, Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Check out the new images below:
The Dark Knight Rises opens on 20 July 2012. It's almost here people…
