It's always a treat when you get an up close and personal look at the superhero costumes we see in the movies, and Warner Bros are giving fans a chance to do just that with DC Universe: The Exhibit. DC All Access got a sneak preview at the Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad outfits and props attendees will be able to peruse, and while there is plenty of fun stuff to be found there's one intricate detail in particular that sticks out; Batman's gun.
Find out why in the video below (at 2:43)...
There is A LOT going on in Batman's Knightmare sequence, which is probably why I completely missed the Joker card on Batman's gun. It's a lovely little detail though that absolutely fits with Ben Affleck's portrayal of this darker Bruce Wayne. Earlier in the film Bruce walks by a costume of a former Robin - now confirmed to be Jason Todd - with "Hahahaha joke's on you Batman" painted over it. His partner's death is clearly something that he carries with him all the time, and as it turns out that's even more literal than we previously thought.
Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne, and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is out now.
Directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman, Suicide Squad will open in the UK and US on August 5, 2016.
