A new, full-length trailer has landed online for Underworld Awakening , the fourth movie in the supernatural saga charting the teething troubles (pardon the pun) of inter-species relations between Vampires, Lycans and humans.
The new film takes place 12 years after the events of Underworld: Evolution , where a new war has been waged by humankind to wipe out both Vampires and Lycans forever. Fortunately, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is on hand once more to carry the fight for her toothy brethren.

It all looks as action packed as ever (as the trailer repeatedly booms, “THIS IS A NEW WAR!”) with the added arrival of a hybrid child who must be protected and a massive super-Lycan who sets about knocking seven bells out of humans and Vamps alike.
Directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, with series regulars Charles Dance and Scott Speedman also in the cast, the film will be released in 3D (witness the grenade pin that seems set to come sailing into the audience) on January 20 2012. Get ready to pick a side…
