Thor: The Dark World has released a brand new clip online, in which Christopher Eccleston's villainous Malekith awakens from some kind of stasis.
The new clip shows the leader of the Dark Elves snapping into consciousness, before addressing a group of companions with the words, "The Aether awakens us. The convergence returns."
It's a slight scene in terms of dialogue, but Malekith's reawakening is pleasingly ominous, and sets the tone nicely for the danger facing Thor and friends.

Such is the threat posed by Malekith and his army, that Thor is forced to recruit Loki as an ally for the battle ahead, a good indicator of the gravity of the situation given his brother's track record...
Directed by Alan Taylor and co-starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Natalie Portman, Thor: The Dark World will open in the UK on 30 October 2013.
