Canadian otome game brings cheesy romance to western audiences

Above: A trailer for Love & Order

Love & Order the latest project from Christine Love, who’s best known for her work on the indie (and DOS friendly) otome game, Digital: A Love Story. Set in the crown prosecutor's office of Montreal, Love & Order follows a young secretary as she solves a mystery, balances her work and her social life, and chooses between four different suitors. The anime art style and generic music fit right in with genre conventions, and only the game's impeccable English gives it away as a non-Japanese otome game.

You can check out a demo of the game on thedeveloper's site. It’s totally cheesy, but we still like the idea of a western studio taking such an unusual project.
