Don't miss your chance to trade your Halo 5 Collector's Edition code for a disc

Shelling out $250 for the Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector's Edition gets you a lot of stuff - a miniature statue, a bigger statue, in-universe lore booklets, complimentary REQ packs, access to the Fall of Reach animated movie, and a steelbook. One thing it does not come with is a disc. Thankfully, Microsoft has detailed how you'll be able to trade the code that comes with the Collector's Edition for a free physical copy.

First, the rules: you must not have used the code that comes with your Collector's Edition - this program is designed as a swap, not a way to get an extra copy. You also must send in the code between October 20 (the release date of the Collector's Edition) and November 1. It's not a lot of time, so don't forget. And if you know someone is thinking of getting you this Collector's Edition as a Christmas present, I'd suggest telling them about the program if you want a physical copy of the game.

Now, the good news: the process is actually very simple, and you don't even need to go to the post office. Simply mosey on over to Xbox's "Contact Us" portion of their customer support website and select the option to chat with a representative. Tell them you're looking to take advantage of the program. They'll ask you for some information regarding your identity and mailing address, and just like that, you're done.

Admittedly, it's all a bit of a hassle. But at the end of the day, is it worse than facing down hordes of aliens who want you dead?
