Everything you need to know about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

If you're currently slipping into a pit of despair over the news that we'll have to wait an extra 7 months (!) for Star Wars: Episode VIII to arrive, you've only one option. Focus on this year's Star Wars movie instead. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be the first of Disney's 'anthology' films and will tell the story of the rebels who stole the Death Star plans, which led to Luke Skywalker destroying it in A New Hope.

With that in mind, we've put together absolutely everything you need to know about the upcoming adventure film, from the cast and crew, to the script and storyline. Will they get the Death Star plans (probably), will they all live happily every after (probably not), will Darth Vader make an appearance (maybe...)? Watch our round-up and find out.

Directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is scheduled to open in UK and US cinemas on December 16, 2016.
