EE BAFTA has announced its Rising Star Awards nominees for 2014.

As ever, it's an eclectic talent pool, with up and comers with CVs ranging from Hollywood blockbusters through to foreign-language indie dramas.

Dane DeHaan ( Kill Your Darlings, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ), Will Poulter ( We're The Millers ), Léa Seydoux ( Blue Is The Warmest Colour ), George MacKay ( Sunshine On Leith ) and Lupita Nyong'o ( 12 Years A Slave ) are all being championed as the most exciting young talent on the cinematic scene.

As the only BAFTA award voted for by the public, the result is always up for grabs irrespective of global stardom (Noel Clarke beat out Michael Fassbender back in 2009), so it'll be interesting to see who emerges as the triumphant winner.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards will take place on Sunday 16 February 2014.
