Django Unchained releases new character banners

Django Unchained has released a new batch of character banners, introducing the film's key players in typically badass fashion.

As well as affording us a new look at the primary cast, it also informs us that Kerry Washington's character is named Broomhilda Von Shaft, which is frankly excellent.

Meanwhile, Samuel L. Jackson has been discussing his character, the scheming house-slave Stephen, who he expects to make him something of a hate figure amongst audiences.

"I'm Candie's loyal house [ boy ]," a censored Jackson told Access Hollywood , in typically blunt fashion. "Hopefully i will become the most hated negro in cinematic history… [ if so ] it means I did my job. I like the honesty of who Stephen is, and where his loyalties lie you have no doubt."

Directed by Quentin Tarantino and co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz, Django Unchained opens in the UK on 18 January 2013. Check out the new banners, below...
