Dark Souls fans didn't like the latest trailer's music, so they changed it

If the new Dark Souls 3 trailer left you a bit puzzled or uncomfortable thanks to the slow and haunting cover of a Cyndi Lauper song featured in it, you're not alone. Plenty of fans voiced their displeasure with the music choice, and a select few have opted to do something about it.

So if you think the Internet can do better than Bandai Namco's marketing department, feel free to enjoy some samples below, as spied by VG247.

If you liked the Deadpool movie (or in my case, vividly remember trying to be cool in 2003), you might like MrGarraFTW's version. Those undead gon' give it to ya.

Too harsh? Okay, let's lighten things up with Locke Vincent's take, which lets us know that even in the face of horrific death, things will get better.

RedOffering has a more extensive edit, which takes a lot of footage from previous trailers and rolls them all into one. I can't argue with the results though, as the unexpected tune actually makes for pretty good background, I'd say.

Lastly, Xua proves an old adage still holds true - Guile's Theme really does go with everything.
