Dino-rider sim ARK: Survival Evolved hits consoles and Morpheus next June

Even if you don't know it by name, you may already be familiar with ARK: Survival Evolved as that one PC survival game with the dinosaurs. Thankfully, console gamers can start taming their very own thunder lizards when ARK is released on PS4 and Xbox One in June 2016.

You could also try to solve the mystery behind why you and your fellow players are stranded on an island with strange machinery embedded in your forearms, but I have it on good authority that dinosaurs still play a key role in this process.

Your dinosaur husbandry can even transcend the third dimension: ARK will be released with full support for Project Morpheus (Sony still plans to ship its VR headset in the first half of 2016) on PS4, and it's already Oculus Rift compatible on Steam Early Access. As Gottfried Leibniz said, the best of all possible virtual worlds is the one that lets you ride dinosaurs riding dinosaurs.

Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo.
