The Coneheads (Coneheads)
The Family: A family of aliens whose heads look like, er, cones.
What more do you need to know?
Strangest Member: Dan Aykroyd looks the creepiest, but they’re all pretty odd to be fair.
Nobody notices since they explain themselves as “French”.
The Bakers (Sixteen Candles)
The Family: The Bakers seem to have no concept of personal boundaries, with poor Sam having her newly developed breasts pored over by her grandparents as soon as they set foot through the door.
Wrong’uns…
Strangest Member: Sam’s grandfather, whose eyes are practically out on stalks.
“I’d better go get my magnifying glass,” he chuckles, muckily.
Disturbing.

The Collins (Dark Shadows)
The Family: An austere ensemble of unusual characters, whose already bizarre lives are turned upside down by the arrival of an ancient ancestor… who also happens to be a vampire.
Strangest Member: Barnabus Collins, the aforementioned vamp, who finds himself awakened into contemporary America after many moons spent buried alive in a coffin.
The Buckets (Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory)
The Family: We don’t care how tight things get money-wise, there’s never any excuse for an entire family sharing a bed together.
It’s weird.
Strangest Member: All of them, since they all seem to spend every waking moment in that bloody bed.
At least Grandpa Joe seizes the opportunity to get out when it presents itself…
The Bradys (The Brady Bunch Movie)
The Family: The irritatingly chirpy Bradys, fond of lurid, multi-coloured clothing, rubbish haircuts and smiling.
We’re on to you, Bradys. Where are the bodies!
Strangest Member: Grinning Pied-Piper figure, Mike Brady.
Dead behind the eyes.
The Mantles (Dead Ringers)
The Family: Identical twins who share the same taste in clothes, haircuts and grotesquely mutated women.
Wait, what was that last one?
Strangest Member: That’s just it… Elliott and Beverly are two sides of the same coin.
They’re equally as strange as each other.
The Whitneys (Society)
The Family: All but one of the family are weird, flesh-morphing aliens who periodically meld their bodies together in some sort of grotesque hybrid of sex and dinner.
Strange enough for you?
Strangest Member: They’re all as weird as each other, to be honest.
Particularly when they’re all meshed together…
The Baeklands (Savage Grace)
The Family: A two-person family consisting of mother and son. No personal boundaries between these two… none at all.
Strangest Member: Barbara, who decides to lend her son a helping hand back to heterosexuality when she discovers that he’s gay.
Needless to say, her plan goes terribly wrong…
The Skywalkers (Star Wars)
The Family: Poor Luke Skywalker. Not only is his dad the evillest so and so in the galaxy, but the woman he’s fallen in love with has turned out to be his sister.
You couldn’t make it up…
Strangest Member: Probably dad, Anakin.
From wet blanket to evil despot, he’s never exactly what you’d describe as normal.
Divine and co. (Pink Flamingos)
The Family: A loose collective of freaks, weirdos and miscellaneous degenerates, all of whom seem hell-bent on outdoing each other in the gross-out stakes…
Strangest Member: Honourable mention to Crackers and his chicken-crushing sexual proclivities, but this one has to be Divine doesn’t it?
You all know why.
