Designed to "give voice to the voiceless," according to its twentysomething director Rostyon Tan, 15 offers a frenetic and hyper-stylised portrait of a quintet of disaffected Singaporean teenagers, who spend their days watching porn, taking drugs and fighting rival gangs. So far, so Kids, yet Tan doesn't bother with female characters and instead explores the emotionally intimate friendships that exist between these 'problem' boys. Darkly humourous - see the search for a suitable building from which to commit suicide - with convincing performances from a young cast all drawn from the streets.
