Activision's upcoming sandbox title Prototype will ship in New Zealand on June 12th.
PlayStationLive writes "We now know that Prototype will be released early June, but we now have reports coming in that the demo will be available on the PlayStation Network (PC & Xbox 360 Live also) in the first couple of weeks next month."
Not just any assholes, but "assholes of the highest order". Prototype's lead designer, Eric Holmes, thinks that the type of person interested in a game like Prototype is the same type of person that, well... isn't very nice.
Prototype is a sandbox game with action elements. In the game you play as Alex Mercer, and you wake up you know nothing of your past and where you come from. Then there is a military Special Force troops in your town and to make it more worse, there are mutant creatures that have established in New York called "The Infected". You don't trust this and you go to research.
Prototype, the upcoming shape-shifting sandbox action title from Activision, has an official street date! The game will be out in Europe on June 5, and it will hit a few days later in North America on June 9.
Activision's June 16 release of Prototype for Xbox 360 will be the first game out of the gate with DTS Neural Surround. No mention of whether the PS3 or PC version of Prototype are being considered for Neural Surround. Future yet-to-be-revealed games for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and the PC are already in development to support the new format...
Spanish website HardGame2 writes: "After a few delays, we have an official launch date for Prototype, the new game of Radical Entertainment, which has raised major sensations in the different events we've seen it. In this case, Activision, its new producer, has confirmed it will launch on June 19 for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Europe".
Activision has stated plans to bring Prototype to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in June along with the new Wolfenstein on the same formats title in Summer. Both dates aren't to be taken as definite.
Games on Smash through an interview with a Prototype developer were able to confirm the Xbox 360 version of the game will indeed ship with 7.1 surround sound audio on the disc! This marks a first for a Xbox 360 title, exciting news indeed!

Activision UK's confirmed a "June-July timeframe" date for Prototytpe this afternoon, telling VG247 that the June date announced last week is for the US.
