ZigzMagoo, no you aren't the only one. No one but a few delusionary die hards have any interest in this product. "Kinect was the only thing that did something revolutionary" Really?? It has now been 642 days since the announcement of Natal/Kinect and not a single real use for the thing has been found yet.

If they just make a system that has PS3 quality graphics and a online infrastructure similar to that of the 3DS I will be happy

Am I the only one who doesnt give two shits about Nintendo's consoles or games? I mean, sure Super mario and super smash bros was awesome back in the day, but thats all over. Everyone knows that the Wii was a joke, and the new one will be a joke too. Cmon, HD screens on your remotes? How are you supposed to look at the TV and at your remote. Dropping motion sensing? Dont want to seem like a 360 fanboy, but Kinect was the only thing that did something revolutionary. Motion controls are so played out, even Kinect. And the comparable specs, sure they can release a 360 like graphics console in 2012, but how many people are really gonna play their regular games on a Wii 2? Not to mention the new Xbox and Sony consoles are probs gonna come out in 2015. No the Wii 2 will be irrelevant and rediculous

What I want in a new Nintendo system #1. Cross platform syncing. VC games, 3DS, street pass, Mii's ect. #2. Achievement system with added benefit of receiving play coins though achievements to unlock extra content. #3. In controller touchscreen with added internet support. With no need to exit the game to look something up. #4. Streaming console games to the controller so I don't need to hog the TV when somebody wants to do something else. #5. Taco's.

I believe the controller will be designed as Nintendo has done before, for varying controls. They've wanted to make the controller part of the gaming experience for a long time with the rumble pack and the sounds emitted from the Wii Remote. It's possible that the buttons will have screens embedded in them, as that laptop that's being designed. Where each button is specifically labeled with its icon that can be changed by the developer. Rather then saying "press A to sprint" they can show a foot icon on the controller and then change the button if sprint doesn't need to be used.

Nintendo obviously has something up their sleeves, and we should expect some shocking news regarding the new console, just like when the Wii blew our minds when it was first revealed. We'll just have to wait and see.
  • Z-man427 - April 16, 2011 1:54 a.m.

I haven't read through all the comments, but I could see the screen on the controller being used only for menus/HUD, like in the DS Pokemon games. It would have to be done absolutely right though.

At least 512 MB of RAM? Are you serious? Needs to be much, much more for a legitimate "Next-Generation" Console.
  • Limbo - April 16, 2011 12:14 a.m.

Having a screen on the controller just sounds stupid to me. If there is a screen, I'd imagine it'd be a touch screen, which I'm not a huge fan of for gaming. Where would this screen even go? If the controller does have a touch screen, it'd be just like playing a DS or 3DS with the top screen on your TV instead of right in front of you. I'm hoping these rumors about the screen are false. On another note, this console better have HD 1080p and be a powerful console. The Wii was completely outdated hardware wise practically as soon as it was released.

If the internet is even slightly better than the 3DS's, it'll be fine. Allow for multiple internet profiles per system, ditch the friend codes (though they aren't half bad on the 3DS), and put some new feature that'll bring the 3rd party developers over begging to make stuff for it. Don't just make a thing with the power of a PS3, though, since eventually Sony and Microsoft will come out with something. Make something that raises the bar for tech on a video game console. @ Asmodean some rumors are saying that Nintendo will release this thing "late 2012", so it'll be more like 2 or 3 years before Sony's or Microsoft's (but if Nintendo announces plans, then that probably will make them rush to get their product out there)

Id like to see more rarer games, not Mario party 7.
  • IceHawk79 - April 15, 2011 11:27 p.m.

Better selection of downloadable games for the new system. Let me download more rare games from the older generation of gaming. Not Mario party 7, Id like to see more of that.

I dont know what to say to be honest. All I know is that Iwata isnt gonna release a Wii with HD, we'll see what happens, and since Nintendo is on fire since 2010, who knows, they know what their doing this time around. Also, guys, Better Graphics doesnt mean everythings gonna be "Realistic" it just means that Mario's Colorful Cartoonish style is gonna look more better. Why the fuck is Better graphics meaning "Realistic" to stupid people? Super Paper Mario's Colorful Flat visuals beat most of PS3 and 360's games because its unique and not a cliche Realistic Looking, and dont get me started on Kirby's Epic Yarns's visuals.
  • Gorillaman23 - April 15, 2011 10:30 p.m.

I swear to God if they have achievements and gamerscore on this... Also, I really don't give a shit about the graphics. Better online and less useless, expensive peripherals and I'm good to go.
  • radcliff007 - April 15, 2011 10:18 p.m.

sounds interesting.....its just gotta keep the third party support for me to ever go back to nintendo....
  • gamingfreak - April 15, 2011 10:10 p.m.

As long as it's HD and has better graphics I'll be happy.
  • QWERTYCommander - April 15, 2011 8:47 p.m.

What I think: Their controller will be very similar to that of a traditional pad, maybe with some motion-sensing. There most likely won't be some huge gimmick this time around. The graphics will be better than the current-gen consoles. The lack of power in the Wii really hurt it, so much that if reviewers said that the graphics for a game looked great, then they'd have to throw on a "For a Wii game" on the end of it. It will definitely be HD, no doubt about that.
  • planetheads - April 15, 2011 8:46 p.m.

thank God!now third party developer will not make lazy games and actually make games.but the reasons why i loved the wii,was the variety in their major games.unlike xbox360 and ps3.only FPS,one player racing games,GOW or DMC kind of action games.i mean check out last years releases for the wii(IMO the best line up)mario galaxy 2,monster hunter, sin and punishment, donkey kong, golden eye,no more heroes 2,capcom Vs.,wii play etc.i hope with this new consoles features, the developer will make games.not lazy quick cash games.
  • hardcore_gamer1990 - April 15, 2011 8:07 p.m.

I wonder if other gaming websites that didn't get any exclusive leaked info are doing articles like this... You know, summarising the other leaks, and adding their own rumours to it.
  • WTeen8 - April 15, 2011 8:02 p.m.

"Controller with HD screen" High Def VMU perhaps.
