It seems that Dark Souls 3 DLC Ashes of Ariandel will have a few more goodies than what popped up on the internet yesterday. And thanks to a new trailer and screenshots, we can see them in their official, high-res, gorey glory. Check it out:
There are, of course, the weapons and spells we reported yesterday: a greatsword with black-and-white flames licking the blade, a hail storm that can be directed at foes, and a chakram made of light that returns to its caster.
But we also see a new, snowy region, new enemies (including wolves, a Viking-like warrior, and some truly disturbing bug-people), a new NPC, and a gaunt figure holding a large cauldron of molten … something. Interestingly, we don't see that PvP-exclusive arena, but there's plenty of time between now and Ashes of Ariandel's release date of October 25. I'm sure there'll be another sneak peek before it's out.
In the meantime, enjoy a slew of screens from the upcoming DLC:
