There’ll be loads more beyond that, and the Gollancz Festival also continues into the physical world, where Waterstones in Piccadilly is hosting a special afternoon aimed at the writers of tomorrow.
Taking place on Sunday 18 October from 12 until 3pm, The Gollancz Festival For Writers will include talks by such top-tier talent as Joe Hill (NOS4R2), Joanne Harris (The Gospel Of Loki), Joe Abercrombie (The Blade Itself) and Ben Aaronovitch (Rivers Of London). A panel of debut authors will also be on hand to share their experiences of their first year in print.
“Gollancz has always encouraged new writers so I’m thrilled that we’re able to offer a bespoke event focused on helping them build their craft,” says Gillian Redfearn, Publishing Director of the SF and fantasy imprint. “We’ve developed a programme of practical and inspiring talks from genre-leading authors, and debut novelists, as well as industry-leading agents and editors.”

SFX and Gamesradar+ are supporting the festival, which encompasses both physical events in London and Manchester between 15 and 18 October, and a slate of online events.
