Trailer reveals Tekken Tag Tournament 2 demo comes with PS3-exclusive Tekken Hybrid

The new trailer for Tekken Hybrid reveals that it's a three-in-one package, containing an HD version of the original Tekken Tag Tournament, the film Tekken: Blood Vengeance 3D, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Prologue. While we know what to expect from Tekken Tag Tournament (fighting bears), Blood Vengeance and Tag Tournament 2 Prologue are completely new.

Tekken: Blood Vengeance 3D is an original CGI movie that will be playable on any Blu-ray player or PS3. The story follows the plucky Xiaoyu, and while it isn't the first Tekken movie, even without seeing it we're guessing it has a good shot at being the best.

Meanwhile, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue will presumably be an introduction to Tekken Tag Tournament 2, but before you jump to the conclusion that Prologue might be a few early segments of Tag Tournament 2 hastily included in Hybrid to help boost Tag Tournament 2 sales, you should know that series producer Katsuhiro Harada has stated in Japanese that Prologue “isn't a demo.” Now that you've been informed, feel free to jump to any conclusions you feel are appropriate. While we don't have many more details about Prologue, we do know that both Xiaoyu and Devil will be playable and the game will include costumes from Blood Vengeance.

There's no word on when Tekken Hybrid will be released, but the movie Blood Vengeance will be released in US theaters for tomorrow only. If you'd like to see it and aren't planning on picking up Hybrid, put your zip code in this page to find a theater screening it near you.

Just watched the movie and i wish i could say it was bad ass... but all i can say is its just bad... I was so ashamed to have dragged my girlfriend to this movie being so excited. Horrible, its just as a let down as the final fantasy spirits within

And this is why I prefer Tekken and Mortal Kombat (and Soul Caliber and BlazBlue and Guilty Gear lol) to Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom... I'll be picking this up because this is nothing but fan love rather than just a re-release of a 6 month old game.

Hahaaaa, SO getting that. Tekken has always been the fighting game series for me. Closely followed by MvC. But that's been let down by a crippling lack of Megaman.

I second that @Mattdawarrior Tekken's really going all out with upcoming win.
