Three PS3 games in one big box, for charity

GamesAid launches UK triple pack, half proceeds go to good cause

Words: on June 4, 2010

It's not often you see a triple-pack - unless you're in a low grade DVD shop and happen upon a Lance Henriksen greatest hits box set - so this offer is pretty unique, and it's for charity.

You get three quality PS3 titles in one box for £29.99: Tomb Raider: Underworld, SEGA Superstars Tennis and FUEL. And before you start moaning that the box is going to mess up your game shelf, suck it up, because half that £30 is going to the supremely worthy cause of GamesAid.

The box set goes on sale in the UK on the 25 June with the games donated by the game publishers and Sony helping with the cost of pressing the disc.

"We are delighted to be associated with GamesAid, "Ray Maguire, managing director of Sony Computer Entertainment UK tells us, "they provide a strong positive gaming perspective for the industry and we are proud to be involved."

You can check out reviews of Tomb Raider: UnderworldSEGA Superstars Tennis and FUEL elsewhere on GamesRadar, which combined offer a fairly bargainous purchase - especially if you don't own any of them already. Even if you don't want to buy the triple pack you can always make an online donation to GamesAid if you are feeling generous.

    @Cyberninja

    How much more money do you think they would raise for charity if they did though? With this current pack they are saying "Here are three shit games that nobody would buy anyway, lets help out a charity." They would raise 10x the money with the bundle I suggested, but they don't care enough about sick kids to lose those $60 sales.

    That is the weirdest, most mismatched bundle ever. I guess it provides a nice variety, but none of it is that enticing.

    Fuel is the only one I'm slightly interested in and that interest in minimal. Defiantly not good games to pick for this.

    @db1331 those games are already selling and the charity probably couldn't get any decent games to help out their charity and how could you not think of a third game i guess killzone 2 goes with those games since they are the 3 best games graphically on ps3 but you could throw in MGS4 or LBP as well and everyone besides me and everyone else who has these games would buy those for charity.

    i was thinking EXACTLY what db was thinking, but then instead of just quoting him and saying "ditto" i decided to type this.

    also... allian does have a point... what charity IS this? i'm only familiar with child's play cuz of PA...

    And if you go to the charity's website, it doesn't say where any of the money raised will be funneled to. It is just a broker for some charities, without naming them. If the game companies are going to assist anyone, make it freaking Child's Play. Maybe my UK friends could enlighten me on this charity?

    Wow. You would think they would have chosen some better games if they really cared about charity. I mean I guess the big draw of the bunch is TR Underworld. I enjoyed it, but then again I got it for $5 on Steam, so it didn't have much to live up to. Sega Tennis? Really? If they really gave a damn about raising money for charity, that pack would be GoW 3/Uncharted 2/???
