The super-fast weekend gaming news catch-up video: July 25, 2011

The GamesRadar UK team gather around the fabled hand bell for another catch-up of the weekend's gaming news. The format is as devastatingly effective, simple and not-in-any-way-chaotic as ever. Five news stories, each with a minute each for discussion. When the minute's up - BAM! Or, rather, DING! End of. This weeks's news stories include PSP Go selling 14 units in Japan last week, Ganon not being present in Skyward Sword, Resi 6 announcement teased, Ivy from Soul Calibur defeating the laws of time and... a Gremlins game is coming!

If you enjoyed the team's vocal mastications, or find that word funny, then you'll probably love TalkRadar UK, our weekly podcast.

Great stuff guys! Thanks again for doing these!
  • philipshaw - July 26, 2011 11:21 a.m.

    Cundy's reactions were awesome
  • Tymiegie - July 26, 2011 5:59 a.m.

    Don't ever stop doing these.
  • Stiltzkin - July 26, 2011 12:19 a.m.

That was a compliment by the way.

Justin, your new haircut reminds me a little of Lee from Tekken. Also, Gremlins!
  • FortyVsZero - July 25, 2011 5:11 p.m.

Love these, they are like mini podcasts! Also Cundy should get closer and closer to the camera each week ultimately resulting in a "Fantastic Journey" style video. Then the camera should, naturally, be lower and move further and further away.

@Clovin- It's Justin. He's had his hair cut so the shops don't recognise him, he was the one that bought 20 last week, and they refused to sell him them anymore. Meh, I don't really care about the Ganon thing, but the Ivy news upset me a little. I think she should've used her big saggy 49-year-old boobs as weapons to replace her whip. That'd have been fun.
  • TheCakeIsaPie - July 25, 2011 4:27 p.m.

    @Clovin64: Probably Sony marketing guys.
  • Clovin64 - July 25, 2011 1:37 p.m.

Who the f*** keeps buying PSP Go?!
  • ParanoidAndroid - July 25, 2011 12:59 p.m.

Towelie! The source of your power! @veryweirdguy I'd still say it's a big deal for him not to appear in a console version. Maybe this means a Majora's Mask style dark freakout, but looking at the new art style probably not.
  • veryweirdguy - July 25, 2011 12:29 p.m.

Actually, Ganon not being in a Zelda game is relatively common. There are 14 Zeldas (not including the CDi ones) at the moment, and Ganon/Ganondorf is the final boss in Legend of Zelda, Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Oracle of Ages/Oracle of Seasons, but even then only if you play a linked game with them together. That's 7/14, so him not being in Skyward Sword seems to make sense to me! God I'm a nerd.

First new Noel Gallagher, and now this video. It's been a good monday morning. I think it's great that Ganon's not the main villain in skyward sword especially as the story is meant to touch upon why he showed up in the first place

:O A reply from the joke factory himself?! Now I can die a happy man... or I could wait till Wednesday so I don't miss Talkradar UK. Do I get a prize for plugging the podcast?
  • GR_JustinTowell - July 25, 2011 11:41 a.m.

@molo - They're still there, just a bit tidier! Though they do now get in my mouth when I sing. They'll grow back soon :)

Towelly! What have you done to your long flowing locks? (I signed up to your site just to post this meaningless comment)
