Holy crap was this ever repeated - it was all anyone could say for a few years. And every time we actually did catch them all, a new version of Pokémon would be released. And that will continue to happen forever. Damn you Nintendo! You've given us animpossible goal!

The Quake series is rife with great sound effects and verbal announcements, and there's nothing more reassuring or exciting than hearing this voice and these words when you're down by a few frags near the end of a match.

Deckard Cain. Deckard F'ing Cain. This guy sure has a way with words, in that he says a lot of them.

This quote may not have been verbally repeated a whole lot, but how many times have you heard it in your head? Is it possible to read "EA SPORTS..." without automaticallysaying "It's in the GAME" in your head? And that voice...that staccato, over-punctuated voice. Who the hell is that? Oh -it's this guy:

No more! We're done! Please! We all had a good laugh, and Portal certainly is one of the greatest games ever. But now it's time to put the Portal quotes aside and recognize that most cakes are in fact truthful.
