Super Street Fighter IV 3D trailer shows off 3DS gameplay

If you were given to terrible graphical pedantry, no doubt you could go through this  gameplay trailer for the 3DS version of Street Fighter IV and draw up a lengthy list of all the ways in which the poly count's lower and the effects pared down to fit onto the 3DS screen. In fact, Capcom is obviously ready and willing for you to do that, as they've only gone and packed the trailer full of moments straight out of the promo material for the full-size versions of the game.

Above: A two-dimensional taste of how Super Street Fighter IV 3D will look in motion

Then again, there'd be plenty more productive uses for your time. You could note how smooth the action is in this in-game footage, or how the chunky, lively character models fit into the 3D-friendly camera angles on show without obscuring the action or making a big deal about how nice this'll all look popping out of the screen. You could even hook up two monitors and put your face very close to them, blurring your eyes to get some idea how this'll all look in 3D. But we don't recommend you do that, because it would be expensive and probably not even work very well. Better to just tell us what you think of the trailer instead.

In the second stage showed, the people in the backgroung don't move. Never played the original game, but am pretty sure that was not so in the original.

@City17fan I don't think anyone is trying to sell you the 3DS for just one game... and I'm willing to bet there are plenty of people who would love a mobile Street Fighter but don't want to buy an iPhone/iPad.

@Joco84 You should be worried. Seems the 3DS isn't lefty friendly like the DS was.

Loving these trailers of proper games on the DS. Starting to tweak my interest of owning a handheld again. Unsure about the lefty controls, (me too) but just imagine there's little chance of busting out a special attack ;)

Could anyone please tell me whether I should be concerned by the fact that there's only one analogue stick? I'm left handed and the thought of using my right hand to write on the touchscreen makes me worried, as I can't use my right hand for anything. Can anyone confirm/allay my fears?

There was a 3ds event so that's probably why.

Epic trailer and game, but today sure seems slightly centered around the 3DS.
