Star Wars 1313 gameplay and trailer shown off at E3

Coruscant's baddest bounty hunter

They're calling Star Wars 1313 a "darker" and "more mature" Star Wars experience, and from the trailer thus far it's hard to disagree.

Not bad, right? The climbing segments are action-packed and gorgeous, though the shooting segments do look a tad typical. That said, if we get a "typical" action game wrapped in a Star Wars aesthetic that's based miles beneath the surface of Coruscant we'll be happy as clams.

I didn't really care about this before, which is odd considering I really like Star Wars. After seeing this, though, I'm impressed. I'll definitely keep this on my radar.

Looks amazing, the gameplay does look average from what is shown and cover based shooters are getting old fast but if it is held together with a good story, some cool force powers and plenty of variety it could be an enjoyable star wars game.

I'd take Cover-based shooting over OTT run-and-gun like Call of Duty any day. And besides, if it aint broke, why fix it? But, I get what you mean about the force powers- but they'd need to be suitably different to the ones present in games like Mass Effect to avoid just feeling like a re-hash.

If the ME3 DLC looks like that on PC I will be very pleased...very please indeed. Will be following this one though, star wars should always be mature.

Cover based shooting. How original. I hope it has more than that. The graphics are nice, but this demo doesn't show enough to get a sense of atmosphere or gameplay, so we don't have much to go on.

It's easy on the eyes. You can certainly tell it wasn't running on a console. I enjoyed the trailer right up until that explosion spit out perfectly placed chest high walls. Boring.

It looks solid and weighty in the gameplay. The graphics, too, look surprisingly well--one of the best I've seen at E3 next to Far Cry and Dishonored. I just don't know how thrilled I am about the setting and, though I don't know anything of either, the characters and the story. I'd rather see a grittier take on Jedi and/or Sith, Commandos, etc. Maybe even play into different eras, though I'm only implying it's based near the movies (for easier fan intake). But I have hopes, however tenuous. Let's just hope their ambitions match their development skills.

Well at least the platforming looks kind of cool... And who knows maybe the action will be okay, I mean as long as it feels as fluid or more so than ME3 and is filled with lots of cool gadgets and a good story I guess I'm game

Except RPG's and Action games can be different All Racing games are the same, though. You're right.

Boil down every RPG and what do you get? Numbers and abilities and skills. Every action game is simply button smashing/combos on enemies in a path. Same shit, different skin.
