Namco Bandai's upcoming video game adaptation of the Star Trek film series got a new trailer at Gamescom in Germany today, and it shows off a decidedly more action-oriented pace than we're used to seeing from the series.
The third-person cover shooting gameplay in this trailer does seem quite reminiscent of Bioware's modern classics, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. Also, the segment with an unnamed Trekker flying through a debris-filled vacuum smacks of Dead Space 2. Though to be perfectly honest, we're 100% OK with this game cribbing ideas from two of the best sci-fi games ever made.
