This just in - Nintendo claims five of April's 10 best-selling games. Not surprising, given the Wii and DS' continued popularity, but savvy gamers like you probably want to know the list anyway.

01 - Splinter Cell Conviction (486,100)
02 - Pokemon SoulSilver (~243,000 sold)
03 - New Super Mario Bros Wii (200,000+)
04 - Pokemon HeartGold (192,000+)
05 - God of War III (180,300)
06 - Wii Sports Resort (179,000+)
07 - Battlefield Bad Company 2 (166,000, 360 version)
08 - Just Dance (144,000+)
09 - Wii Fit Plus (130,000+)
10 - Super Street Fighter IV (no total given, north of 100,000, PS3 version)
Numbers come from an email released by Nintendo, as well as a full NPD report from Gamasutra posted earlier today. We'll leave the industry trends and rampant speculation to the number-crunchers - we just want to know which games YOU bought and if you're surprised something else didn't make the list.
Off the top of my head I notice both Monster Hunter Tri and Dead to Rights: Retribution are missing, so that's not a totally encouraging sign. Also strange to see Final Fantasy XIII completely fall off the list.
