Saints Row IV has gone gold! But who cares about retail releases when you have post-launch DLC, right? Volition today announced that two downloadable mission packs are inbound after launch, and you can pre-order both now with a $10 (£8) season pass at participating retailers.
Enter the Dominatrix will lead the charge about 45 days after launch, depicting "a tongue-in-cheek vision of what this content was originally going to be like." A second pack will arrive in late 2013.
Aside from extra missions, Season Pass owners are the only ones who get access to the Rectifier: an anal probe weapon presumably repurposed from the evil aliens who abducted the Saints. If you'd rather your game didn't have an anal probe weapon in it, which we can certainly understand, you can always buy the mission packs individually.
Saints Row IV is set for release on August 20 in North America and August 23 in Europe for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and was formerly a staff writer at GamesRadar.
