SCI-FI-LONDON 2012 will celebrate the ZX Spectrum

This May's SCI-FI-LONDON film festival promises a week of total SF immersion – plus some nostalgia for us Sinclair users

Of course, 2012 also marks the 30th anniversary of the ZX Spectrum , and to celebrate the influential little machine, SCI-FI-LONDON is hosting an event in HORIZONS at the BFI. Rediscover some of your favourite games, participate in practical experiments in programming and look to the future, exploring how the Raspberry PI might create a new generation of programmers.

Other highlights include the 48-hour film challenge, genre filmmaking in the UK at BAFTA as well as the core film programme.

This year’s venues are the Apollo cinema just off Piccadilly Circus , BFI Southbank and BAFTA .
