Robin set to appear in Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

Voice actors for the 'beloved' Boy Wonder and Two-Face confirmed

Words: on March 9, 2010

Holy fanboy-baiting heck, Batman! It seems Robin has just been confirmed for Arkham Asylum 2, if the game’s IMDB page is anything to go by. Budding Hollywood teen thesp and experienced voice actor Vincent Martella is set to play the Bats’ sidekick in one of 2010’s most anticipated games.

Interestingly, Martella will also voice Jason Todd in the upcoming Batman: Under the Red Hood animated feature. If you don’t know your Bruce Waynes from your Banes, Todd was the second character to squeeze into the embarrassing green tights, after Dick Grayson, the original Robin went onto become high-flying superhero Nightwing. Long-time Batman lovers may now be at aneurysm-courting levels of rage, as the Todd version of Robin was so unpopular, fans elected to have him offed by the Joker in an opinion poll. Hopefully, he’ll be relegated to a small part and won't appear like this…

We’re sure we’ll cope. Just.

On a more positive note, Bruce Greenword, vintage acting man who’s appeared in such films as iRobot and last year’s Star Trek reboot, will play schizophrenic arch evil doer Two-Face.

I was playing AA last night and came up with an idea. What if Rocksteady incorperated a multy player version in the second batman game. Players can play as different batfam characters and tie in the whole storyline. or at least a co op with Robin, Nightwing, or Batgirl. The possibilities are endless because rather than have a semi linear game to play, the person playing Batman with supporting players can explore different sections of Gotham at different times to find clues and assist the main player. On a side note if you tie in playing as villin characters such as the Joker in real time. it will be a battle of wits for player against player game play. I know this sounds like alot to take in but have you ever heard of a game giving the option to play head to head against a real person in an adventure game I havent.

    Just a few thoughts

This is pretty risky, if coop is pulled off it would be amazing however it's going to be too easy to hate robin as he is a bit of a joke.

How is Jason Todd going to be in it when he was killed by The Joker?

Ah well, at least Two-Face is in it.

    GAH!

    THIS SUCKS!

Lol, I'm not really that angry, but they'd better make it Nightwing, not Robin! Hopefully just a rumour. Hell, IMDB has someone cast as the riddler in the dark knight sequel and there's been no knews on that. Why would they know before anyone else?

it could be Tim Drake, which is a decent Robin, and therefore opens up a for role for Nightwing, which would then open up for Co-op Challenge Rooms which would be cool!
