Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One's painfully fun arsenal exposed

The ability to kill or destroy things in fun and inventive ways has always been a hallmark of the Ratchet & Clank series, and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One doesn't look to be deviating from tradition. Learn why you'll want to be the trigger end of the Combuster, Darkstar Fission Tether, Warmonger and Thundersmack in part one of Insomniac's new gameplay video series.

After nine instalments (not counting PlayStation Move Heroes and Secret Agent Clank), it appears Insomniac hasn't lost its touch for making things that murder other things feel fresh. It helps that All 4 One's gameplay focuses on four-player co-op, giving way to group operated weapons likes the Darkstar Fission Tether. Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is slated to make gamers feel inadequate for not having three other friends readily available to play cartoon platformers on the PlayStation 3 on October 18th in North America, and October 21st in the UK.

    still looks a bit shit to me. But they are making overstrike, so I'll forgive them if Ratchet and Clank takes a bit of a hit for solidifying a new IP.

    Well, they look fun. Still, though, I can't help but feel that Insomniac are dragging R&C through the mud a bit. I mean, Jak only managed to go about 3 games before jumping the shark, and I personally think Ratchet & co. went the same way when they added in Space Pirates. Still, it does look to sort of be like a childrens compromise of L4D's co-op, so that should be good, but....
