Call me a crazed fanboy, but whenever a work trip took me to Manhattan, Seattle, or Tokyo, I always set aside time to visit the Pokemon Center stores in those cities. I saw (and purchased) a ton of really adorable merchandise featuring many, many, many different pocket monsters. But it's unfortunate that people could only get their hands on it in those limited locations. That's why series fanatics should be very pleased to see the opening of PokemonCenter.com, which opens up the official goods to anyone who can get online (US only for now.)
People of all ages can browse the plushes and shirts available on the site, and I really appreciate that the style skews a little older than most of the kiddie Pokemon items out there (though the plushies look great on the site too). Mewtwo has an awesome tumbler that wouldn't look out of place in the gym, and the Charizard iPhone case is pretty stylish if you ask me. Hopefully the online Pokemon Center will continually refresh its selection of items, just like they do in the real life stores. Until that's confirmed, I'll just keep visiting the site and doing my best to resist buying everything.
