Actually, in response to your comment on your Overhauled Graphics slide, Nintendo really had little say in the matter. GameFreak is a second-party developer (meaning they're an exclusive third party developer), and since they make the games, they have to do what's right for their sales. When they started BW2, the 3DS wasn't doing all that well, so they had to look out for their own profits, not Nintendo's 3DS profits. Nintendo pretty much had to go along with it and wait until Gen VI to start on 3DS (it's probably better this way, because it'd've been hard to trade Pokemon from a DS game to a 3DS one) or have another company make it for the 3DS without any background in main Pokemon games.

I know this will never happen, but after they create gen 6 pokemon they could make a pokemon game with all regions. It could have a story where some new villan trying to take over the world. You have to beat them in each region. You start with kanto then move on throughout the regions with that regions main character. That way you won't be overpowered and the wild pokemon levels won't have to scale. Then all the characters come together to fight the villan and their team of 6 legendaries. Once you beat the game your free to explore all the regions as one character.

That's great. Now, get this translated into Japanese and whatever you do make sure you remove any inkling that you're someone from outside of Japan and maybe the devs will listen to you. We all know how xenopohbic the Japs are, good luck getting them to even acknowledge anything written here or indeed in any of the other articles written the past 6 years about the same subject.

Nice choices, and with all due respect it's in your taste and opinion but Customization, Non-linear, choices of gym leaders? Not saying it's bad but it feels like you want it to be a WRPG. More Variety is good but Frankly it felt like a breath of fresh air when Black and White was exclusively new Pokemon and no older ones, it felt like a true sequel, after game you catch the ones anyways. The variety im interested in is new type combinations and ideas, I LOVED Garbodor being a trash monster despite the hate people have that I don't understand I do agree with aspects, like making the bag more easier and graphic overhaul, Black and white was a nice design change and that was just with DS, it'll be interesting to see what they can do with the 3DS. As far as Gym Difficulty goes, it lies on an annoyance of the last or certain pokemon that can really bother you, like Milktanks rollout, Clairs Kingdra, and especially Elesa's Volt Switching Emolga. They need to do better because some gyms frankly failed poorly on giving that sense of challenge despite being one type. There were some with good ideas but the execution was poor so I wish they could try harder on that aspect

I completely agree with you about the more variety, every game that has a mixture of every pokemon gen feels far too much and that's when you say to yourself "How many pokemon can they make?" Having solely one gen of pokemon makes it actually feel like a different game and not just an expansion, plus this way it forces vets to learn new pokemon and mechanics, rather than relying on knowledge of past pokemon.

I actually like that the gym leaders rely on one or two types of pokemon. Aside from just making sense, it's fun to get 5 levels on my Vanilluxe when I fight Iris. And some gym leaders use pokemon that have two types, rendering your fire-type not-so-effective on their grass & water type. If you want really diverse teams to challenge yourself against, well, there's always your rival and a couple other high level trainers, depending on what game we're talking about.

There's an article like this every time a new Pokemon game comes out, almost saying the same thing every time. I agree with it every time, but I just don't see Pokemon games ever becoming more than what they are. It doesn't matter how lazy the developers are with each entry, or how devoted they are to keeping it the same. They will still make millions. They have no real motivation to make the Pokemon game people dream about.

I think making it less linear would ruin balance because then you may not be able to go to some areas because of hms and then the game would have to have 3 areas with simlar leveled pokemon so you would be able to fight fairly.
