Patience (After Sebald) review

You won't find W.G Sebald's classic walking tome The Rings Of Saturn in the travel section. Describing his meanderings around East Anglia in the ’90s, the German author muses far and wide over politics, history, literature, the Holocaust...

Grant Gee’s doc is a suitably arty attempt to convey some of the book’s rich patchwork of allusions and digressions. As Jonathan Pryce reads passages and academic voices take turns to chew over Sebald’s visionary opus, B&W footage of country roadsides and wind-blasted coastlines turns rural Suffolk into something truly otherworldly.
