Monster Hunter 4 3DS trailer features massive monsters

No surprises there, but definitely worth a watch

As part of a Japanese-only Nintendo Direct today, Capcom showed a new trailer for Monster Hunter 4 on 3DS. In it, you'll see a variety of new monsters to kill (then gut and skin and sell, presumably), as well as a glimpse of what looks like being the biggest monster in the series to date, right at the end of the trailer. Take a look and see for yourself:

The game is due out this summer in Japan although specific dates and confirmations for other territories are yet to be confirmed. However, if you're feeling a lack of 3D monsters in your life, a demo of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is due to go live on the European 3DS eShop today, so maybe that can tide you over.

    Man, I wish Capcom would release some MH on PS again. I think Nintendo is just playin Capcom out the ass for Nintendo exclusivity of MH. Not the worst idea after seeing those PSP sales numbers.

    I believe Ninty's got a 2 year exclusivity deal on MH. But who knows, maybe if the Vita is alive in 2 years, we'll finally get to see Portable 4th.

    Ah. That would explain thing. I can see the Vita surviving for another 2 years. The PSP didn't look like it was gonna last long out of the starting gate either but it really kicked some serious ass towards the 2nd half of it's life. They gave Nintendo a good run for their money with the MGS and MH games and a few other titles.

    Well, it definitely looks cool. I've never paid much attention to the monster hunter series as it seems to have a bigger emphasis in co-op and loot n' crap rather than single player experience and story, but well, eventually I might as well give one a try, right?

    So far nothing said. Wii U is getting 3 Ultimate but nothing on 4 except the 3DS

    Well I got the Monster Hunter game for the Wii. This will almost definitely be a must get so I'll keep using this console.
