Mirror's Edge 2 briefly showed up on two separate Amazon sites over the last week. OXM UK snapped a screen capture of the Italian listing for the unconfirmed, but often hinted-at, first-person freerunning sequel which was removed earlier today.
It was listed as an Xbox One exclusive, though when Mirror's Edge 2 appeared on Amazon Germany last Thursday it was listed for Xbox 360. It's not a good idea to draw too much detail from independent listings with mocked up cover art like these, though their recurrence is notable.
"We appreciate fan enthusiasm for Mirror’s Edge, especially fans throughout the retail channel," Electronic Arts told IGN about the German listing. "This is not official EA material. We have nothing to announce at this time."
EA has expressed continued interest in the franchise, and a former DICE executive producer said in November that it's "general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror's Edge 2 is in production at DICE."
