Im surprised this series is still relevant. Didnt Kojima say at one point he wasnt doing Metal Gear anymore? Oh well, if its your bread and butter.... Ive never been a fan of Metal Gear. It just seems like a japanese take on American military complex.

Kojima said that after MGS2, then after MGS3, then after MGS4...

What a stupid comment, you couldnt be furthur from the truth

He said he was retiring "Solid Snake", not that he wouldn't be doing another Metal Gear(the picture indicates Big Boss in a Cold War era setting). Judging by your relevance question and critique on it's content, I'd say you've never played the games. Some advice; don't click a link if the content apparently isn't your "bread and butter"...
  • zombi3grim - August 31, 2012 1:05 p.m.

Lol, no I HAVE played the games. Thats why I DONT like them. Im not going to say I dont like something if I've never tried that. Plus, whose to say they wont make a game in the series that DOES interest me later on? Revengance doesnt look too bad. Whatever he said, Solid Snake, Big Boss, Little Boss, Liquid Snake, Gas Snake, Boa Constrictor Snake, who gives a fuck? Some advice: Dont act like some pretentious dick because you JUST might get shown up.

Ignoring your forced use of "pretentious"(bravo by the way, my e-feelings were really hurt by that), don't get all "butt-hurt" just because someone "showed you up, and let you prove his point by saying your interested in a style over substance, half-aborted spin-off like Revengeance. Relax, buddy... You can't win all "anonymous, never going to meet so I'll act like big shit arguments"... Now hurry up and go downstairs, your mac and cheese is getting cold and your mom doesn't know if you want Kool-aid or sweet tea... Wash your hands too, dried cum doesn't go well with pasta I hear... Don't worry, I won't be checking in anymore so go ahead and type your angst away.

Lol, you havent been here long. Ask around. Ive been on this site for years. I have no need to delve into my background to satisfy some twerp online. BTW, dont give me that "i wont be checking anymore" bullshit. Like I said, Ive been on this site A LONG time. You'll check. And you'll respond. Because you have this incessant need to personally insult me so you can feel better about yourself. Hypocrisy hurts, doesnt it? Next time, dont try to play with the big kids, son. You'll just wind up hurting yourself. I'll be waiting for your reply, :)

BTW, pretentious wasnt forced. It fit exactly because thats how you were acting. You know what? Im feeling generous. I'll share a little bit of my background with ya. I spent about 5 years in the USMC. Im also married with two kids. I also work full time as a surgical tech. I dont expect you to believe me. After all, its the internet, anyone can say anything. But ask around this site if people know grim. Theyll tell you the same thing Im telling you. I dont give a fuck if you think its true or not. I know its true, and thats all that really matters. You can just hope its NOT true and try to save some face. But we all know what happens when you assume... So believe me when I tell you I have NO problem saying exactly what I said to you directly to your acne ridden, snot nosed little pre teen face. So push up those inch thick glasses, part that dyed black greasy hair out of your face, crank up some Black Veil Brides, and get to work writing some witty response. Just remember, no matter what you right, I will always be smarter, better, richer, get laid WAY more often then you. Period. So when you realize that the guy your arguing with online literally saves lives for a living and makes more money then both your parents combined, you'll learn some humility and shut the fuck up. NOW I'll leave it that. :)

DFSLJDLSFJSDFJLSDFJ!!!! I hope this is as awesome as the other installments in the series. I might have to go play all of the other games again to refresh my memory of the story.
  • Travia220 - August 30, 2012 12:21 p.m.

Running on a high end PC? Does that mean there will be a PC Version of this game as well or is it just to show off the engine and it's potential? If it's the latter then that it's a bullshit move from Kojima.
  • HorriBliss - August 30, 2012 12:25 p.m.

I don't think MGS has ever been released on PC? I doubt Kojima would start now. Although, I never thought Konami would ever give up the exclusive PS3 deal, so I'm probably wrong. I can see this being cross-next-gen-platform: Nextbox; PS4; PC - but who knows eh? Also, I just have a hunch that this isn't coming to the Wii U
  • Risonhighmer - August 30, 2012 1:20 p.m.

Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 both saw PC releases
  • CombatWombat101 - August 31, 2012 8:35 a.m.

You know, if you thought about it for a second, I don't think you'd be getting so upset about this "bullshit move from Kojima." The demo was reportedly running on Fox Engine, Kojima's next-gen engine. Obviously if the game is going to be running on the next generation of consoles, they want it to look as good as it possibly can, so rather than scale it back to run smoothly on current-gen consoles, they simply run it on a high-end PC. Plus, don't you think it might be a little difficult to show it off on consoles that have yet to be released? Seriously dude, put in a little thought before you get your panties in a bunch.

So excited for this, Playing Big Boss during his MSF years in Peace Walker was great, but going there again with the new FOX Engine and a proper non-handheld game structure is going to be amazing!

Really wish there was an edit button, looking at my bad punctuation just rubs me the wrong way.
