3 weeks after Microsoft dropped the Game Pass price, Newegg has extra savings up for grabs
The Newegg gift card deal is back
Each month, tech retailer Newegg likes to hand out promo codes to shave off cash on gaming gift cards, and it's back again this May.
You can now save $16.50 on a $100 Xbox Gift Card with a promo code SSF6837, which you can use towards your Game Pass Ultimate subscription, or any digital games you've been eyeing up on the Xbox online store. While these gift card deals make a comeback each month, once they're up they're only available for a limited amount of time. With that in mind, I recommend snapping this Xbox Gift Card deal up to avoid disappointment and becoming a green eyed monster - get it?

What's new to the Xbox game store?
First and foremost, I always recommend using this Xbox Gift Card deal towards your Game Pass subscription, even if it recently saw a price change last month. While it may be cheaper at just $22.99, that's still a monthly sum that you can minimize even more with this Newegg saving.
If you're more concerned with building up a digital game library, you can always wait for Forza Horizon 6, which lands on Xbox Series X/S consoles on May 19, 2026. It's currently available to pre-order for $69.99 (Xbox) at the Xbox online store, which would be a hefty chunk of your gift card funds, but worth it if you're a big Forza head. For those not really into racing simulators or driving games, there's a smorgasbord of new titles you can grab, from 3D platformer Super Meat Boy 3D to my personal recommendation, Vampire Crawlers.
It's already part of Xbox Game Pass, so if you have an active subscription, you won't have to pick it up separately. However, the dungeon crawler is just as addictive as Vampire Survivors, but makes for a more chill experience as you aren't constantly being bombarded with hordes of enemies and projectiles. Instead, the game plops you down into a first-party perspective where you can make your way through dungeons at your own pace, all the while still battling it out with bats, skeletons, and just about every other creepy monster you'll remember from its predecessor.
Whatever game you decide to pick up using your new Newegg Xbox Gift Card funds, remember, you don't have to spend them right away. But with the pure dopamine hit that is adding more games to your digital collection, I won't blame you if you spend that $100 worth of credit all up in one go.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
