Limbo confirmed for PSN, coming July 19

Rumors that sprouted from rating leaks seldom lead to disappointment.  Not too long ago, the Korean Rating Board revealed to us the existence of Limbo for the PS3.  Now, less than a month later, we have confirmation of its impending release from developer Playdead’s CEO and Co-founder via the PlayStation Blog.  This games-as-art argument will soon be available to more players than ever.

Limbo’s release last year through Xbox Live’s annual Summer of Arcade program saw massive acclaim, and we awarded it our highest score.  The dark platformer instantly became a bestseller on the Live Arcade and has received numerous awards since.  Having been announced for PC recently, the title is now set to hit the PSN store on July 19.  Haven’t enjoyed this indie gem yet?  If you’ve been missing out, you now have fewer excuses than ever to have not played it yet.

Two great things about this: 1) More people can enjoy this fantastic game! 2) More money for the developers so they can make more magic!

The two games I felt left out on were this and Super Meat Boy... Half-way there!

That was a lot quicker than I thought actually. Limbo and Old World Blues. Can't wait for the 19th!
